What a Green day

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! Emily, Anna, and I celebrated the day by hitting the slopes. It was even warmer today that yesterday. Anna and Emily looking very...exuberant?
I felt very patriotic with my green hat and green neckless.
My sweet skis.
I love the view here on top of Fields, it's awesome.
Me and Anna. We really didn't need goggles, we needed sunglasses!
Bad things happen when Anna and I ride up the lift together, as you can see.

We had a great time.

Tonight we're having corned beef and cabbage, that will be a first for me. But it's so amazingly Irish!

Lift Ride Happiness

Today we went skiing (surprise!) even though there isn't any snow at our house. The snow was slushy and a little icy in spots, but not bad considering that it's been rainy and warm for the past two weeks. The skiing was less than superb, but the lift rides were amazing! It was so warm out (we only wore sweatshirts), there was hardly anyone there, and we were all rocking out to our music.
And dancing down the hill.
On skis.
You should try it sometime.

At Greek Peak

This Monday was FREEZING!!! We would take a couple runs and then thaw out inside for an hour, and then go back out. Michelle, me, and Laura. We brought cards and were playing Go Fish. And they were eating fruit twists.
Anna and Natalie.
Ted was teaching Michelle how to snowboard. It was a really awful day to learn. The snow was so hard, a little icy, and it was very cold. But they enjoyed themselves, which is good.

Aren't they cute? :D

As Natalie so pointed out, I forgot the most important thing about yesterday! We went on a mission. What is this mission you may ask? To distribute molasses cookies to the frost-bitten lift attendants. We only had four cookies, so we gave them to our favorite life people. We don't know their names, but we gave them our own. First off was Pirate Man. Next was Sullen Man, whom we got to smile. Then Harley Dude at the top of lift 4. And finally Frosty. I'm sure they thought we were quite strange, but we had fun anyway! :D Mission accomplished.

Of Snow and Pizza

We were at Greek Peak yesterday for 8 hours. It snowed and was windy and freezing the entire time, but there were some good aspects. Because the weather was nasty, we were some of the few people there. And because it was snowing, and had been snowing, there was a foot of fresh powder on the ungroomed trails. Natalie and I thought it was the perfect opportunity for practicing moguls, so we did three runs on them. And the glades were amazing! So much snow, few icy spots, and no one ran into a tree. All very good things.

The only way to get to some certain glades was through this very flat trail. For some reason we decided to go to them anyway, and Emily and Anna were dying trying to get there on their boards. So Natalie was pulling Anna, and I was pulling Emily. Except, Emily and I weren't working out too well together. She was basically pulling me down the hill, so I gave her my poles and she zoomed away. As I skated after her I couldn't resist taking some pictures, it was quite comical.

The reason we had stayed so late was because there was a pizza party at 5pm. After looking forward to it all day, it really wasn't that exciting. We ate cheese pizza, drank pepsi, and didn't win anything spectacular. The two people who won the new skis and board weren't even there! They should have just given it to us, I mean, come on! The only thing we got was cards for free music downloads and a stomach ache.

Greek Peak

Skiing at Greek Peak has been so much fun this year. We actually like our instructors, they like us, and the snow has been great. Laura and Emily on the life.
Michelle and I.
We had such a great time last Monday. I made it my personal goal to liven things up a bit for the extremely bored lift guys. We were going up this one life, and every time I got on I would talk to them in a different accent. First was British, then Edna Mode(Incredibles), then New York(as in the city). I was running out of ideas, so we went over to the other lift, and I got the other girls to join my cause. We all "fell asleep" on the lift and woke up barely in time to get the bar up and get off the lift. I think the guy was really confused. I hope we made there day slightly more interesting.
The crooked view from the chair.
Michelle.
Laura.
Emily.
And me. I somehow really like this picture. It makes me happy.
Emily flying through the air before she fell flat on her face. It wasn't too pretty, and she doesn't think the picture was worth it. :)

Skiing today

Today we went to GP to ski and I convinced Teresa to lend me her old camera so we could take pictures! :) I didn't take very many because conditions were pretty bad, it was really windy and cold and I wanted to stay inside my warm jacket.
We met Laura and Michelle in the morning and skiied with them. Emily, Laura and Anna loved all the puffy snow, and it must be because they were all snowboarding, because both Michelle and I thought it was terrible!

We would be going like 2 miles an hour and then hit a patch of ice and start picking up speed and then hit a pile of powder. It was a wonder I didn't fall or do a face-plant. It cleared up a little later and was great for taking pictures, but of course I had left the camera inside by that time. The view from the lift is pretty cool. The houses in the background are the GP condos. It was fun, even though it was cold and miserable out. We'll defenitely be back before all the snow melts!

Greek Peak

On Monday us three girls went to Greek Peak. So I was snowboarding. It was really slushy that day and it was really hard to carve. So I was going down a little hill to where the lift was, and I got stuck in a rut and I could not get out! All I saw as I was flying down the hill was the motor for the lift and I was like, I am not going into the motor! I was so scared. But all of a sudden I hit a post right on the ribs on my side! It did not hurt at first but that night it was really sore. But I was glad that I did not go into the motor.
Also that night us girls went to see Horton Hear's a Who! It was so funny I would definitely recommend it!
