Cape Cod: Day 1

The morning after we arrived, Mom, Teresa, Emily, and I walked the 1 mile to Corn Hill beach. It was so beautiful. There is this rock wall that went out into the bay that we climbed. It was fun just to sit out there in the sun and enjoy the water.

It was at low tide so we got to pick some cool shells. There was also a lot of rocks that the sea brought in.
After our little morning excursion, we ate breakfast and then headed back to the beach, this time in the car with the rest of the fam. It was a really nice day which was good, because the rest of the week was overcast and rainy. We all got sunburns.
It was Ted's birthday, so all his sisters spelled out TED in his honor and sent him a picture. :)
With 'Chariots of Fire' theme music playing in the background (of our brains), Em and I charged down the beach. Eric Liddel would have been proud.
After the beach we grabbed lunch and headed to the ocean side of Cape Cod to see this lighthouse.
It had originally been where this rock was, but they had to move it back because of land erosion. Don't ask me how, but they did.
There was a great view of the ocean from the cliff.
Dad lives life on the edge.

T, Mom, and I with our mussel shell earrings Miriam made for us.
We are SO color-coordinated. (I'm pretty sure I qualify)
Anna, T, and Em gazing out to sea.

I love this mixture of sky, grass, and sand. Oh, and Emily. Such a great combo.
And then we had to see the ocean up close. Dad and Mom lived here for quite a few years before they got married up until Ted and Teresa were born. They hadn't visited for 19 years, so it was pretty cool. We saw a bunch of the houses where they lived later in the week.

Walking off into the sunset...so romantic.

Your mussel earrings are especially stunning in that geometric, body sculpture picture! I am quite proud of your many abstract poses. :)

I'm really lovin' the pictures but your remarks on each are the best.
