Before dinner we went down to the lake and swam. There were a bunch of people there. I didn't go all the way in since thew water was only 66 degrees. It wasn't really cold, but it wasn't that warm either. It was still refreshing.

Camping Trip - Day 1
We were about halfway through with setting up when we noticed that there weren't any hook-ups. There wasn't even a water spicket. So we all piled in the car again and drove to the information building or whatever it's called and they said that there were only sixteen campsites with hook-ups, and they were all full. It all worked out pretty nice actually. There was a faucet just down from us, and we could turn on some lights inside that ran on the camper's battery, and the bath house was right next to us. Some friends of ours met us there, and they're campsite was just across from us.
Hanging up the clothes line.

Out neighbor's camper from our view. There was a little trail connecting our campsites.

Setting up for a dinner of salad, hamburgers, hot dogs, and baked beans. Everything was so good!
A before dinner snack. We had many of these, many times a day, and at all hours of the day (or night).
There was a trail you could walk on to go down to the lake. There was a concert going on, but we didn't go to it, there were a lot of people and cars everywhere. But we enjoyed listening to the music. :) You could hear it from our campsite.

Dad, Mom, and Mr. and Mrs. C.
All us girls were walking along when we heard a bird noise from a tree, and it didn't sound like any chickadee. We looked up and there was this parrot looking at us squawking, which was a rather strange thing to see in a state park. I guess it belonged to some people that were nearby, but it was a little strange.
So that was our first day. :)
